About Our Founder

Alexander Ziwahatan is more than an inventor, more than an entrepreneur, and more than a candidate for governor. He is a builder of futures, a thinker unafraid of scale, and a son of Oregon who believes his home state can lead the world through innovation, courage, and community. From the blueberry fields of Lorane to the halls of caregiving and invention, his story is one of persistence, vision, and an unwavering refusal to accept the limits others tried to place upon him.

Today, Alexander is the founder of Omnithion, an intellectual property think tank with 35 patents pending across aerospace, climate solutions, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, and energy systems. He is also an Independent candidate for Governor of Oregon, offering an economic vision that eliminates income and property taxes and replaces them with $115 billion in sovereign revenue streams. His journey is one of invention — not just of technology, but of a new way forward for Oregon and beyond.

Early Life and Oregon Roots

Born and raised in Oregon, Alexander’s story begins in humble settings. At just 11 years old, he worked his first job picking blueberries in Lorane, developing an early respect for labor and the land. His teenage years included cleaning shoes at Mr. Formal, to care work that would later define nearly two decades of his life.

Alexander’s family history is deeply woven into Oregon’s fabric. His mother, Lucretia Lake, an alumna of the University of Oregon and retired realtor, and father Richard E Lake, II, a retired artist, are co-founders of the Sakochee Tribe. That tribal leadership and commitment to community influenced Alexander’s worldview, instilling in him a belief that prosperity must be shared and that Oregon’s traditions can coexist with forward-looking progress.

By his early twenties, Alexander was drawn into caregiving. For nearly 18 years, he worked as a caregiver, eventually joining the State of Oregon’s Seniors and People with Disabilities division in 2014. Those years taught him resilience, patience, and the realities of Oregon families struggling within broken systems. They also fueled a determination to fix what was broken, not just for individuals but at the systemic level.

Building Omnithion

The founding of Omnithion marked a turning point. Conceived as an IP Think Tank and Standards Institute, Omnithion became the vessel for Alexander’s creativity and vision. Rather than limiting himself to a single invention, Alexander pursued a portfolio approach — filing patent after patent across multiple industries with the goal of reshaping civilization’s technological trajectory.

Today, Alexander has 40 patents pending, split between government-focused systems and commercial technologies. Some of the flagship innovations include:

  • FireDrones – autonomous aerial and spherical drone networks capable of detecting and suppressing wildfires, protecting Oregon and the world from catastrophic burns.

  • OmniDots – advanced wearable nanotechnology for pain modulation and neural health support.

  • Zero-Point Organics Generator – a system that produces food and organic matter from air inputs, offering resilience in food security.

  • OmniTheris Quantum Gateway – next-generation transport and communication infrastructure.

  • OmniSerra & OmniStrata – platforms for planetary-scale environmental restoration.

Unlike traditional startups, Omnithion’s mission is not to build a single product, but to create a chokehold portfolio — foundational technologies so essential that they cannot be ignored, bypassed, or commoditized without recognition and licensing. In Alexander’s own words: “We are not here to play small. We are here to build civilization-scale infrastructure, and Oregon will be the launchpad.”

The $115 Billion Plan for Oregon

When Alexander announced his run for governor, skeptics wondered how an Independent candidate could address Oregon’s deep structural challenges. His answer came in the form of a comprehensive $115 billion annual economic plan that would make Oregon the first tax-free state while fully funding public needs.

At the heart of this plan are sovereign revenue streams — industries owned or managed by the state itself, designed to replace income and property taxes while creating generational prosperity.

  1. Geo City Oregon (formerly Solar City) – A state-owned renewable energy hub generating 200 TWh annually through geothermal and solar systems, creating tens of thousands of high-paying jobs and billions in export revenue.

  2. AI & Innovation Licensing – Leveraging Omnithion’s portfolio and future state-backed intellectual property, Oregon becomes a licensing powerhouse, generating $30–35 billion annually.

  3. Hope Meadows Recovery Communities – Self-sustaining addiction and homelessness recovery villages, producing a net surplus of $3–5 billion per year while solving one of Oregon’s most persistent crises.

  4. Carbon Credit Exchange – A state-run platform positioning Oregon as a global leader in carbon trading, generating $8–10 billion annually.

  5. Data Center Environmental Fees – Charging high-resource-use data centers fair impact fees, producing $6–8 billion annually to reinvest in local communities.

  6. Patent & Trade Royalties – A 1% royalty on state-supported innovation and patents, generating $7–10 billion annually while encouraging invention.

  7. Longevity & Wellness Hub – A global destination for regenerative biotech, medical tourism, and wellness industries, generating $3–6 billion per year.

Total Annual Revenue: $97–119 billion.

This model is not theoretical. Each revenue stream is grounded in existing technology, market demand, and Oregon’s unique strengths. Together, they eliminate the need for traditional taxes, while funding universal healthcare, affordable childcare, housing, senior care, public safety, and education.

Alexander calls it Innovation Sovereignty — a future where Oregon doesn’t just collect taxes but owns and operates revenue-generating assets for its people.

Why Run for Governor

For Alexander, invention alone was not enough. Watching Oregon struggle under cycles of high taxation, unaffordable housing, broken healthcare, and worsening wildfire seasons, he realized systemic change required leadership at the state level.

As the first openly gay Independent candidate in Oregon’s history, Alexander represents both continuity and disruption. He is continuity in his deep Oregon roots, his years of caregiving, and his tribal and family leadership. He is disruption in his refusal to accept that Oregon must continue to tax its citizens into poverty while underdelivering on basic services.

His campaign is built on three pillars:

  • Prosperity: A tax-free Oregon where families thrive.

  • Innovation: A state that leads in AI, biotech, energy, and climate solutions.

  • Freedom: Policies that honor individual choice while ensuring collective security.

Alexander has also committed to making Oregon competitive with states like Texas in AI and workforce training, ensuring that the next generation of Oregonians can thrive in the industries of tomorrow.

Looking Ahead

The story of Alexander Ziwahatan is far from finished. His inventions continue to expand, his campaign gains momentum, and his vision for Oregon grows sharper with each passing day. What remains constant is his conviction: that Oregon is capable of greatness if it dares to lead, innovate, and trust in its people.

In his words: “I did not come here to play within the lines. I came here to redraw them. Oregon deserves to be bold. Oregon deserves to be free. Oregon deserves to lead.”

Through Omnithion, through his campaign, and through his unwavering belief in Oregon’s potential, Alexander invites every Oregonian to join him in building a future where prosperity is not a dream but a reality.

Call to Action

This is more than a campaign. It is a movement for transformation. Oregon has the opportunity to become the first state in America to abolish income and property taxes while guaranteeing housing, healthcare, childcare, and senior care. It has the opportunity to lead in innovation, to eliminate wildfires through FireDrones, and to redefine what prosperity looks like in the 21st century.

Alexander Ziwahatan is asking Oregonians not only for their vote but for their vision. Together, the impossible becomes inevitable. Visit www.AlexforOregon.org today to learn more about Alex's campaign.
